Shagird is the new upcoming movie which is going to be released in this year.With this movie Nana Patekar is making come back after a Rajneeti.In the Rajneeti Nana Patekar has done a good performence for which he is known.This movie is quit different to all the movies which he has done in the past 2 years.The plot of this movie is the said to be real by persons who are attached with it.Mohit Ahlawat is also in the main role.We can also see some very good action which is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by the Asif Shaikh . And also we can see Mr. Anurag Kashyap in this movie.

Shagird is an action film that follows a cop played by Nana Patekar and his protégé Mohit Ahlawat set in the city of Mumbai. The movie claims to be based on real life incidents.

The film was a bit delayed due to Nana Patekar’s serious foot injury but irt is in the final stages now.MohitAlawat will be seen as a police officer in this movie. The film is fully action based and Mohit is once again trying his luck after the failure of his previous two movie – James and Shiva, which did not get a good response from the audience. Nana is playing the leading role as a gangster, along with Anurag Kashyap, which basically suggests that like all of Nana’s films there will be a social message in the film and we can expect some hard hitting dialogues and performances.

PLOT: Phase Gaye Re Obama is a comedy set against the backdrop of global recession/meltdown that originated in USA.

The film traces the journey of OM Shashtri, an American citizen of Indian origin, who loses all his wealth overnight to the global recession & has been asked to vacate his home by the bank unless he pays up $100,000 (mortgaged amount) within 30 days.

Seeing no other option Om comes to India to sell a small piece of an ancestral property. But within days of landing in India he is kidnapped by a ‘recession-hit’ underworld gang those who think that he is still a millionaire.

What happens to Om, is he able to save his home, how did the ‘poor’ gangster cope with their ‘poor’ catch & what do small town Indian gangsters have to say to President Obama…is largely forms the rest of the story.

The film, showcases how global recession/ meltdown impacted lives from an America based businessman to underworld dons in the dusty plains of small town India.

PLOT: Abhay Gulati (Imran Khan) and Aaliya Khan (Deepika Padukone) have known each other since they were four years old. Their friendship turned into love at the tender age of 15, when Abhay realises Aaliya is the girl for him.

The story itself is not complicated (you can watch Babel and 7 pounds to catch a more complex intertwining of multiple character stories) and focuses on the lives of an American born Indian Shai, a clothes washer (or a Dhobi as they are called in Hindi, hence the title Dhobi Ghat which refers to the place where Dhobis practice their trade), and a seclusive artist Arun (Played by Aamir Khan). To be fair, I figured out the story involving Arun and tapes left for him by his sister (who’s moved to bombay at the start of the tapes and records a video of her days there as a ‘letter’ of sorts to her family which shes left behind in another city).
